Hi,

I want to move a Time Machine backup to another drive, but when I did this earlier with one computer, TM wanted to backup the entire disk again, and deleted previous backups to make room!!

I want to move another TM backup for the other computer (both systems are using separate external HD for backup) and I want to avoid this minor problem (it was minor because it wasn't really a backup of anything important on the first machine).

The backup drive is encrypted, and the option is set in TM. I followed the advice as per the Apple note on their support site, but the end result is not what they stated.

What is a better method to do this?
