Move to iOS not grabbing all my texts?

Hello, I just bought an iphone to move over from android. I used the move to ios app to transfer over my texts, but it seems to not grab any texts beyond Dec.8? I've tried doing both wifi and wired connection for the transfer, tried 2 different cables, tried installing an older version (3.5.0) of move to ios but no luck. They all produce the same results which is all my texts before dec.8.

Any help or insights would be appreciated.

can you provide more details on the transfer? otherwise here is Apple’s Guide on »move to iOS«.

ok guys here's how I solved my problem.

• I backed up my texts on my android using an app called SMS backup & restore.
  (I originally backed up all of my texts but realized I probably don't need texts from 2018 so I only did it for texts within the last 2 years)
• I reset my android phone to factory.
• Restored my backed up SMS to my android.
• Move to IOS as usual
• and everything moved over.
