I have a friend who just moved back to Florida from Canada. When he was in Canada, he got an iPhone 4 through Rogers. He's moved back now, his phone is out of contract, and he wants to use the phone in the States. I helped him jailbreak / unlock his wife's iPhone 3G, but his 4 is unfortunately updated to 4.3.5 with the 4.10.01 baseband.

He tried taking it to t-mobile because they said they could unlock it, but then they ended up not being able to. He also asked Apple about it, but they said they won't help him.

So, are there any options for getting his phone to work with t-mobile or AT&T?

Only Rogers can unlock it, not sure what their conditions are. Otherwise he can use a geveysim
