Movie companies got the best of my mini

Well....a lot of new releases lately I cannot get my mac mini to read. After a few attempted spins, it'll spit the disc right out. Other discs that I have purchased in the past will load and read just fine. I think my mini has been beat.

Some recent examples..... Madagascar 2 and Fireproof.

You sure those movies aren't blu-ray? My MBP did the same thing when I tried to play blu-ray movies on it. Try another disk that you're sure isn't blu-ray.

impossible that it's blu-ray. I would never get a blu-ray disc as I don't own the player. nope disc says dvd right on it

Get a new DVD drive for it. If you're comfortable opening your mini, it's pretty easy to replace (unless it's under Apple care, then just make Apple do it ).
