hey Clevin, i installed it but it doesn't seem to be encoding properly. The format changes, but the file size is 0... any idea what i'm doing wrong?

ok... i followed the instructions, but...

the only file that didn't install properly was "mpeg2enc.intel"... opens up as an excel file for some reason. What should I associate this file with?

just download it to ur hard drive, and at the ffmpegx codec installation screen, choose the location u just put of the file, u don't need to associate it or open it with any application.

ok, i want to try and uninstall / reinstall

no add/remove programs in mac so i was told you simply delete from the application area.. i've just done that and reinstalled the ffmpegx dmg file again * after installing the mencoder and mplayer but the ffmpegx is popping up like i've never uninstalled it.

is there a special way to uninstall this app?

after uninstall the program, use spotlight to search for "ffmpegx" and delete any preference files u found.

however, what happened?
