I am running Leopard on a new 24" AL iMac.

I've had this happen with multiple commercial DVD's.

I insert the disc and it doesn't show up in Finder. When I try to play the disc in DVD Player it says "Supported Disc Not Available".

Why is it doing this?

These same discs work fine in XP running in Parallels so what gives?

I figured it out

It's a Parallels issue apparently. As long as Parallels is running the SuperDrive wont mount and disc images on the Mac desktop, but it will mount while in XP. As soon as I shut down Parallels, I can mount discs inLeopard again.

whew!
