Movie library app (not iTunes)

Hello, I'd appreciate suggestions for Movie library apps that display and organize movie files on my hard drive (ripped dvds). I'm looking for an alternative to the iTunes movie library because of the limitations on file format in iTunes.

One feature that I would like is the ability to tag movies as watched.

Wwidd is a very, very simple free app for tagging, rating, searching and playing video files. Handles collections in the thousand-file range of wmv, avi, mov, and mp4 formats.

Runs on OS X Snow Leopard. Requires VLC for playback (for now).
