I am new to this forum so I apologize for any demonstration of ignorance in its use. Everyone here seems to know what they are doing. I just got a new macbook pro and have run into a couple of problems. 1. I have a sony HD handy cam that has always worked well with playback however when I went to run it on my Mac. It records in AVCHD. When I go to download the videos into my Mac they show as Jpegs. 2. I have been trying to find something that will allow me to play different movie formats on the Mac. Just got some that are .AVI but they won't play. I tried flip4mac, but it does not give me that as an option when it prompts me "open with".
