Do others have this issue?

Purchased 'Robin Hood - Men in Tights" on U.S iTunes Store, and when playing on AppleTV (4th gen.) audio and video get way out of sync during the opening credits. and everytime there after. (as in the audio continues, but you see different parts of the movie)

Totally unwatchable.

It's a bit easier when Airplaying it from Mac, but issue may not always be re-processed dependng how 'how' its viewed...eg streaming vs download first, then airplay)..... I'm guessing its due to content, but it plays just fine in iTunes app on Mac.

Recorded part of this and sent it to Apple, but wondering if anyone else experiences this ?

Restarting Apple TV didn't solve issue, and firmware is up to date.

I seems to be Apple's quality control standards that have degraded over the years.

I bought 'Notting Hill' from iTunes in HD. The idea was to replace old DVDs of films that I enjoy as I don't have a DVD player anymore of course and understandably don't want discs making my crib look messy.

Sadly in parts of the film I experienced lip sync issues. I was horrible and even worst when trying to watch it close up on my MacBook or iPhones.

It's a shame as the HD picture looked beautiful but what a terrible low QC on Apple's part. Even a 40 year old VHS video tape doesn't have this problem!

I tried to watch the film but it annoyed me and I demanded a refund which Apple agreed on. Their service was pretty slow though as it took 7 days for the refund to be paid in my account.

I notice that iTunes promote this film quite a lot on their home page and it's a shame if they havn't requested a replacement file from the distributors as they are selling a fault product that is not fit for purchase or rental.

Strange that your file plays OK from your app but then iTunes DRM films/files can be very very weird! I have iTunes films that refuse to be played over Apple HomeSharing to my Apple TV. I have 2 French films that play for 20 seconds and then pause every other second throughout along with Call Me By Your Name which decides to freeze usually in the same parts of the film.

My experience since late 2010 show that iTunes DRM films can be 100% unreliable for Apple HomeSharing and the only way to watch them is via iCloud streaming. HomeSharing has been a truly nasty, nasty experience for me and should not be used for this purpose. That's why it's a shame that you can't download film directly onto your ATV and keep a few favourite ones there.

Come on Apple get your act together!
