Movie rental for overseas trips

Can you rent a movie with iTunes and take it on an overseas trip and watch it? I notice that it disappears after 24 hours once you begin to watch it. So, if I download it here and start watching it say on the plane or when I'm overseas, how will that work? Thanks.

I think it will still be 24 hours. It won't matter when your device resets it's time to another country's dateline.

an aside, but if you're flying AC you probably know they have in free flight video system. you can look up what movies are playing before your flight to check you're not renting an iTunes movie they'll already have on the plane.
