Movie theaters how to know when one of your favorite films is being reshown?

Is there anyway to track all movie theaters in the US or even just my state to know if any of my favorite films are being reshown in the theater?

It seems complicated.
 
If such an app existed, how would it know that a specific film was one of your favorites?
