I've only used Samsung phone (s8), and love the screen. Is there a big difference in quality of screen? I've spoken to friends that say that they like iphone better.

Both Samsung and iPhone‘s now use OLED screens. Both look very well done as far as videos go. Samsung does have the advantage given that that there’s more screen real estate.

I have a Samsung S7 (not S8) and the colors on the screen are horrible. All the colors are way too saturated. Photos look really bad. No comparison to all of my iPhones which look good. I don't know if it's just my S7 or some setting I have wrong, but it's mess. I don't use the S7 for anything except to use one app but man / the screen sucks

Samsung are the ones who make both iPhone and Samsung OLED Displays, so both have great quality, it’s just dependent on your taste in terms of colour temperature, contrast, saturation etc... which are adjustable on both iPhones and Samsung’s.

Thanks!!! My s8 is 2 yr 6 mth old with me anyway. Its still working good but is starting to have issues, so I'm looking for an upgrade. It will either be the 11 pro max or one of the high end samsungs, may be one of the notes. I'm wanting a decent camera and good / great screen for movie watching. Most of my famuly and friends have iphone and love them. I have a dslr that will be my major camera, its a nikon d5100 but it does take better photo enlargements

I’d encourage you to at least wait until the 6.7” iPhone 12 Max is unveiled. I think for camera capabilities, screen size, and quality.....if the money is there I’d compare the 12 Max and Note 20 Ultra to see if either is a good fit for you.
