Is there a way to install movie box on a non jailbroken device? I thought I saw a thread recently on how to do it but can't seem to find it.

I got the app installed on both ipad and iphone, but I think their server must be overloaded. It's very slow and won't play or download anything.

Yeah, I only downloaded one movie I think two (or three?) days ago, and it honestly took about two hours to download 600something megabytes.

I only tried streaming one movie just to see how well it worked, and it started up just fine but I didn't watch for more than a minute or two. AirPlay didn't seem to want to work in that one instance that I tried it, unfortunately.

But I think these movies are streamed in the same way as torrents are -- so it could depend on how many people are "attached" to a given title (the more the better and faster), rather than anything on Movie Box's servers. I could be wrong and I don't know how it all works.

I deleted the app because it's nice but I don't need it, and I quickly realized "Oh, this might not be the most secure way to download studio owned films…" :p

Haha yeah I hear you. Back to the tried and true uTorrent and Yify I suppose!

Would be nice if it worked better. I might see if it's any different on Android though.

Should be safe, we don't have root access anyways because device isn't Jailbroken.

Installed PopcornTime too, but it wont play anything.

Interesting that movie box can be loaded without jb. It's one of the few reasons I haven't updated to iOS 8

I lost my jailbreak and was bummed about not having moviebox.

I just installed it and it works! All that's needed is a reboot.

All I need now is a way to tether and I won't need a jailbreak......…ever.

............and it keeps getting better. I just figured out that I can use movie box on my iPhone and mirror it to the Apple TV with out being on wifi. I can now use my LTE connection to run movie box. My home internet is terrible so I rely on my LTE a lot. I also have unlimited data.

So only really need tethering abilities for iPad on the go.

iOS 8 is really growing on me. Lots of cool stuff like this.

It doesn't have to run in the background, I killed it and later opened it without any problems.

I didn't realise you could install moviebox without jailbreaking. Wish there was a way to install XBMC too. Then I'd not have to worry about jailbreaking my iPad as they're the only reason I do so.

Does anyone know how to clear the cache with these apps on non jailbroken devices? I have popcorn time installed on my iPhone 6 working perfectly but Ive stopped using it until I get an answer to the cache issue.:(
