Movies in Mail?

I know it's a newbie question, but I wanted to know if movies that I recorded from Photobooth can be sent using Mail. I've tried this several times and it always ends up as a draft.

Should the videos be recorded into iMovie or is there no way and I'll have to upload them onto YouTube and then send the link?

I've done it straight from Photo Booth, no problem. Make your movie and then click the Mail icon in the Photo Booth window.
