Movies on iTunes

Based on the fact you can get tv shows on iTunes in the UK now, I was wondering what the overall consensus was on purchasing them.
I'm more interested in movies (as evidenced by the title) but we haven't got those yet.

I can't see the point. I'd rather just buy the DVDs.

I would be interested - if, one evening I got the sudden urge to watch a movie it would be almost instantly available (bear in mind i watch movies on my mac). Also, I would be happier storing them on my HDD rather than have more dvd boxes kicking around.

Of course, a rental system would interest me more...
