Movies playing in the dock

There used to be a time when playing movies was even visible when minimizing in the dock. You could see the small thumbnail playing. But that isn't the case anymore since Tiger, Leopard?

What happened?

Nowadays the machines are even faster than back then when it used to work.

They removed that feature in Leopard. I don't know why. It worked in Tiger.
