Hi,
New to the forums, hope this is the right place to post.
I'm trying to play movies that I've downloaded from Frostwire and every time they open up in Quick Time it says is update is needed and a blank safari page opens.
Am I doing something wrong?

Probably should mention this is my first Mac and I've had it for a total of 6 hours lol

If the movies are files you've downloaded legally, someone might be able to help you if you post more details (file types, version of QT and Safari you're running etc).

If however you are asking for help with movies under copyright that you've downloaded without paying for them, we can't help - that kind of thing isn't permitted here.

From the Forum Rules:

Warez/Serials/Keys. Do not post software serial numbers or keys or refer people to specific websites, software, or techniques whose purpose is to break or bypass software licensing methods, distribute cracks, or obtain or use commercial software or media in violation of its license and/or for copyright violation. Do not ask for or give such help.

Get VLC. That solves all playback problems.

Else you have to find correct codecs for Quicktime which is annoying. You have to even pay for some codecs. So best solution is VLC which is free.
