I have an upcoming trip to hawaii, and want to use my newly purchased iPhone to watch movies on the flight...

Im going to rip 5-6 movies, and would like to watch at least 2 on each flight - 9hrs each way to/from chicago...

My question is, can I expect to be able to watch 2 full length movies on a single charge?? 4to5 hrs of video...

If the quality of the video matters to answer the question, I am using the latest version of DVDFab and doing DVD to Mobile - and selecting the iPhone as the destination device.

Also, if it matters, I will be using the headphone splitter so me n my girl can watch/listen at the same time...

Apple says:

Battery Life

Talk time - Up to 8 hours
Standby - Up to 250 hours
Internet use - Up to 6 hours
Video playback - Up to 7 hours
Audio playback - Up to 24 hours

So you should be ok

2 days ago I made a cross country flight (Fort Lauderdale to Phoenix) and watched the following:

No Country for Old Men: 2 hours 01 minutes
Star Trek Enterprise episode: 43 minutes
Star Trek Voyager episode: 42 minutes
Listened to music: 30 minutes
Talked on phone pre-flight: 15 minutes

Total video time: 3 hours 26 minutes

Total usage: 4 hours 11 minutes

Battery showed roughly 60-65 percent remaining when I landed.

I think you'll do quite well with two or even three movies!

Yes, this guys reportings sound accurate. I have experienced this long of playtime as well watching video on the iPhone...Just make sure you are using headphones and not speaker for the sound since that speaker is such a power whore.
