Yeah pretty much every new movie. And also used on TV shows like House, Big Bang Theory,etc...

The Disney movie "Blank Check" primarily involves a Macintosh Performa as part of the main story line.

Almost every Sex and the City episode has this one character using her PowerBook G4.

Bones and House seem to be Apple fans too.

Transformers has a scene that shows some military base FULL of Apple Cinema Displays.

Loads of modern day movies will usually see a cameo of an Apple computer. For instance, Bed Time Stories shows the hotel front desk equipped with iMacs. Night at the Museum 2 features the son using a MacBook Pro.

Almost every movie and TV uses Apple products except those produced by Sony Pictures. If you ever see a character using a VAIO its a 99.9% chance its a Sony Pictures movie.

You guys must have heard of product placement, right?

;)

Just because you approve of the product, does not mean it isn't just another ad.

Yeah, and I have no real problem with. Though I do think Apple products are often chosen as "props" to build out a set because of the great aesthetics whereas when I see a VAIO laptop it seems like its smack in your face, the camera pans by it in the foreground intentionally or something. Also, I often see Apple products with the Apple logo obscured which means they were probably chosen for the aesthetic and are NOT getting PAID by Apple.

Not really adding to the discussion but Get Smart and the new Mission Impossible. Mission Impossible is basically a 2 hour long Apple Commercial. :p

Nearly every single mockup of a laptop I see is a "macbook pro."

A perfect example is https://www.mint.com/failover/homepage/index.html

are there any movies where they're being used by computer experts, like hackers?

I Am Legend was also a 90 minute Apple Commercial.

I thought it was a warning to men about marriage. Will Smith lived alone for years with no problem. He goes where he wants, does what he wants and doesn't answer to anybody.
He meets the girl and is dead within a week, his home reduced to rubble. Before she gets him killed, she eats his bacon. His special bacon he was saving for a special occasion. HIS BACON!!! Well no point in living if you can't look forward to eating bacon.:D

Back on topic. Yeah, he's got more Macs than some Apple Stores.

This post is reminding of when I was a HS junior back in 97-98 ish. I was in journalism and as such we were responsible for the school newspaper. All editing and formatting were done on a Macintosh II computer. And now, 14 years later.

A MBP has been used in so many films. Sometimes they cover the glow apple and the name on the screen. When they zoom into the screen to show some plot, it will be there. The most recent Mission Impossible shows this and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is an example of covered up MBP. The same also applies to iPhones. They usually aren't in a case, and they show phone calls up close. Most of the time, it has features that aren't available in the current iPhone and probably improbable.

anything else out there? i like the shows where we see geeks using them rather than people like chandler from 'friends'.

The oldest I can think of are Sandra Bullock in The Net (95) and Dennis Nedry in Jurassic Park (93) Nedry used a Quadra 700 and a stack of disk drives the size of LPs.
