Hi guys,

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3G myself and have recently converted some movies from my hard drive into iphone 3g compatible mp4 formats and they work just fine on my 3G, however when I put these on into a NON-Jailbroken iPhone 3Gs of my aunt, it will only give out audio and the video will freeze at the very beginning but the audio will just keep going.

Any idea why this is happening? Is the video format for 3Gs different than 3G or something?

Thanks in advance,

...Or simply re-encode them via iTunes.

Have you tried restarting your Aunt's iPhone. I've had that be the issue playing high quality videos.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. I've used handbrake and converted the files that I previously converted once again and it did the trick.

I guess from now on, I will just use handbrake.
