Movies?

How do you watch movies on ipad? I'm interested in seeing recently released movies (ie-127 Hours, True Grit) on ipad. Specifically, I want to watch on a plane, so I guess that means downloading it either directly to the ipad or first to my MacBook and importing it to itunes. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm not against paying, if I know that I'll be able to do what I want.

You get the movies in your iTunes either by ripping from DVD, using Torrents, or purchasing through iTunes (I can only recomend the latter though, for legal reasons). Then sync them through iTunes and play them in the Videos app. It's very easy.

As long as you own the DVD you're ripping, then it's perfectly legal. Just don't be sharing that ripped copy and you're fine.

Yeah, I watch videos on my iPad from two different ways

1. Bought on iTunes, on desktop PC already.
2. Ripped DVD with Handbrake.

I love handbrake, it does all of the work for you and has settings for all Apple products! :)

While we are on this subject, if I rent a movie from Apple, do I need WIFI to watch it or is downloaded to my iPad?

Actually it's illegal in the UK to do this.
It's also illegal to rip a music CD and put the mp3 files onto a music player.

Not that anyone takes any notice as it's a silly law.
