Moving 7.2 gig file from mac to windows

I've got a 7.2 gig file i'm trying to move from my Mac to a Windows partition on the drive. The partition is formatted FAT32. I'm getting a error code 0, which I gather means i can't move files that big onto fat32. I'd rather not reformat the partition to something else (stuff on there that took a good while to install).

Any suggestion on how I can get the file over? I've got a lacie hard drive with chunks of space, but its currently formatted for a mac with stuff on it. Even assuming I can partition it without wiping anything, won't i face the same problem?

You can't put any file larger than 4GB on a FAT32 drive. You'll either have to change the file system or use a different drive.

cut it up with a rar or zip program, copy the chunks (each less than 2Gb) to windows, stitch it back again.
