Hello.

Weird question here. I have a folder in Applications that is basically my documents folder i.e., software that i've installed, documents, pics, etc. I have it in this folder to make ease of backing up one folder. I have a backup of this folder on backup usb drive, dropbox etc. I also have it stacked in the Dock and everything seems to be working well -why wouldn't it, right?

Ok. I'm trying to play some interactive Z files in Linux, however, I can't seem to get to this 'folder' that I'm talking about. This folder is where I have the files I'm trying to play. I tried enabling root user privileges, but that didn't work either. I went ahead and disabled root user privileges before I really screw something up!

Do I just have this folder in the wrong place? I know when you install software, you get the option of putting it either in applications, or on the HD somewhere. But perhaps I have my folder in the wrong place, and that this folder shouldn't be in applications.
Will it show in linux if I move this folder from applications to my HD?
If I were enter the shell (-bash), would I see this folder, and therefore have access to it?

I hope I'm making sense (probably not :( )

Thanks
