I've been a MBP owner for the past 6 years, firstly having a Early 2011, currently have a Late 2103. Since I work in Higher Education, I've taken advantage of the associated HE discount on both past purchases, which also entitled me to 3-year Apple Support on each purchase. My 2nd period of 3 years ends in Jan 2017. Ordinarily this would mean I would just purchase another MBP, and take advantage of another 3-year Apple Support package. However, I have been priced out of the market in terms of buying one of the new MBPs, even with the HE discount. Looks like I'll go for a Dell XPS 13.
The Early 2011 had a 320GB HDD, which was fully backed up. Moving to the Late 2013 model, I opted for the entry level 128GB SSD, which meant that I couldn't use any of the previous backup. This is still sitting on my NAS.
Now that I'm gonna be moving away from MBPs, how can I retrieve the data (photos etc) which is contained in the Early 2011 backup? Any help would be very gratefully received!
