I'm upgrading my MP from a 3,1 to 5,1 and was wondering if I could just move my Windows 7 Bootcamp drive from the 3,1 into the 5,1? If it's not as simple as dropping the drive in the new machine what do I need to do? Do I need to run the Bootcamp driver installer once the drive is installed in the new machine to update the drivers for the different H/W configuration? Or is this a case of just having to reinstall Windows from scratch?

I tried moving windows from a HDD to a SSD and it failed completey. I had to reinstall all my windows apps and stuff.
If you can still access your original windows, try to use Windows Easy Transfer.
