I have a "concatenated RAID" (using Apple's term) drive in an external enclosure. It was setup using OSX's Disk Utility. That external enclosure is now effectively broken (long story) and I want to get my 1+ TB of data out. Some questions I hope you guys can help with:

1) If I move the disks to another enclosure, would the concatenation remain intact?
2) Since the concatenation was done through Disk Utility, do I need to set the new enclosure to a particular setting? (The previous box didn't have any settings switch.)
3) Since the concatenation was done through Disk Utility on my computer, would it be safe to try to plug the old enclosure (with the disks still in it) to another computer and see if the drive mounts? Or would it definitely not mount, or worse lose the data?

Would appreciate input from anyone with experience in this. Thanks.

(I actually have two concatenated sets in that enclosure. One is a backup of the other. I see now it was stupid to have the backup in the same enclosure.)
