I'm running OSX 10.7.1. I have an external USB Lacie 750 gig and recently purchased a 2 gig Lacie. Is there a utility to move all the data from the old to the new, besides copy and paste (which would take hours and hours to do ) ??

Thanks

Just drag and drop. Sorry, there's no way to speed it up. Hopefully, you have firewire connections, which would be much faster than USB.

Yea...it's not so much copy and paste, but just opening up a window on both and dragging the contents of one over to the other. 750GB will take a few hours, but like GGJStudios said there is really no way around that. That is a TON of data.

The process is simple...no need for an app to do it, but it takes a while to execute. :)

Thanks...its in progress!! The first 20 or so folders, says 13 hours lol. Oh happy me lol.
