I have enjoyed my 20" 2.0CD for a while now. I had upgraded to leopard on release and bought a my book to run time machine on. It worked great, and was enjoyable as most Apple products are.

Over the weekend had the opportunity to purchase a new 24", 2.4C2D iMac. I shut down my 20"CD & plugged the "my book" (time machine) into the new 24"C2D. Choose to migrate from the time machine, and bout an hour later I was up and running perfect, worked like a charm... good job apple.

But now the Time Machine wants to start a new directory on the "my book". When I open the drive it shows, Andys backup & Andys backup 1... or something like that. If i open time machine there is no history, tho there is it's just in the original folder created from the 20"CD.

Bottom line: how do i pick up where i left off, regarding time machine, now that I have a new computer?
