Hi, I am running iTunes in Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro.

I keep the iTunes music library in its default location in my music folder. I only store music in the iTunes library as that is all I want to be kept on my internal hard drive.

On my 2TB external hdd, I have 1.75gb of TV shows and movies. None of these are stored in the iTunes library as when I add them to iTunes, I deselect the "Copt to iTunes library" option in iTunes preferences.

As I am reaching capacity on my external drive, I want to know how I can move all the videos to a new and larger external hdd with iTunes still being able to find them.

Thanks.

One way to do it is to move all the files, take your iTunes library XML (iTunes Music Library.xml) and replace the path of every file with the new one (you can do a find and replace in any text editor). Then put the library file back, and when it opens, it should find all the files in their new location.
