I recently bought myself my first Mac and preparing for it by clearing some stuff out.

Couple of iTunes problems I'm having...

1. I want to move my iTunes library over to the iMac when it arrives, and have looked into it a bit on here and on Google. I want to move the library across, and want to keep all the data that comes with it (like when I was last listening to it etc).

All the solutions I've found say this data is lost, so does anyone have a solution that keeps it? Somewhere I read that even the backup to CD/DVD erases this data, is this true?

2. This one is either going to be really complicated or so simple I should be ashamed...

The last time my PC had to be reset some of my podcasts split into two segments. The first is say 2005-2006 then the second is 2006-2007 and then the 2007-present is under the first header.

How can I move these back into one header (either currently on my PC or when I get my iMac).

It's not a big issue but it just looks a bit messy...

Please don't judge me because I think Chris Moyles is funny!

Really want to thank everyone who's posted here as I've read a whole lot about which iMac to choose and problems people have had etc and it has really been of help to me.

EDIT: Could admin please move this to Mac Basics & Help? Can't believe I just wrote all that in the wrong place!
