Anyone does this? My 16 Pro is still a great phone but there's just something about the Air. Feels like the ultimate Steve Jobs, Jony Ive iPhone in a way even if it's missing features. The cameras are important to me, but you do get the positive trade of better usability with the much lighter thinner design, and I use the main lens most of the time.

I usually always trade in my phones, I wouldn't trade in the phone if I was getting the Air because I would want to keep an iPhone with the extra lenses still. So I'd somehow have both.

On the other hand also wondering a little bit about upgrading to the blue 17 Pro. But I'm not really sure it's worth the trade in + upgrade.

I am going from a 16 Pro Max to the Air. For anyone on the fence about this, I can only tell you cannot approach this purchase with a financial value mindset. I love my Air, but I am fully aware of what I’m losing with the “downgrade” as people say. What I’ve gained is the feeling of excitement using this device that grabs a bit of everything that makes iPhone and bundles it into this Steve Jobs-visioned device.

I’m running a 15p , love my phone but the air had my attention , looked at all the new iPhones , 17 , 17p 17pm an air , the first 3 felt so cheap in my hand due to the aluminum and the plateau of the new pros is so ugly imo.

The Air felt amazing in hand , light , bigger screen then my 15pro , felt super premium in the hand, honestly If it had stereo speakers or usb3 I’d prob buy it but my 15p is still good so I’m going to wait it out on a Air 2.

Go to an Apple Store and experience them all in hand. If cameras are a big compromise for you I’d skip all the new phones and see what comes next year!

You running it naked or with a case ?

Traded in my 16 Pro for Air and loving it!

Best phone design by Apple in over a decade!

I don't use the camera much and don't listen to music thru the speakers so all those Pro folks denigrating features don't know how I use the iPhone.

Best features: sleek titanium shiny frame, tremendous battery life, super quick apps and light in the hand.

Air on top - 16 Pro on bottom.

I finally tried this yesterday and bought the cloud white Air. I can't really replace my Pro, so I was planning to keep changing between the Air and the 16 Pro, for when I needed the cameras. I thought the Air would be better for normal usability for just using daily use phone stuff.

So I wasn't going to return the phone because of cameras or even probably battery. But I think I am going to return the Air for other reasons I didn't expect. Unexpectedly to me, I think my smaller 16 Pro is more comfortable to me in the hand for a long time compared to the Air. I didn't expect to think the Air was too big but it is (and I had Max phones for many years, I just love the smaller Pro size now).

Secondly I have an unfortunate panel lottery thing where mine is made my LG and the colour shifts on angles very easily. My 16 Pro meanwhile is perfectly uniform.

Third, while it is a stunning looking phone, like an evolved X, I still really love the look and feel of my 16 Pro and it still feels like a classic iPhone reminding me of my old 4S. I think I prefer it - not something I expected at all.

I'm kind of more impressed by the back than anything. It's just so white compared to my natural titanium 16P and the one lens look is nice.

So while the Air is a fantastic phone (haven't been able to test battery much yet), I just don't really it's beneficial enough as a secondary phone for me for the money. I might be looking at the 17 Pro, but this may be a skip year for me.

Screen uniformity is a real issue. I think I saw it on all Airs I tried. Probably has to do with the screen size, PMs are more susceptible to this than Pros too.
