Moving from Jailbroken 2.0 to standard 2.1, help with clearing options

I had 2.0 jailbroken on my iphone, but due to bugs, I've elected to move to 2.1. I had Customize, BossPrefs, and many of the basics on 2.0. I upgraded to 2.1, but numeric battery, carrier name change, and wallpaper from customize remained. any way to wipe the slate clean? should i try to restore without using the backup, and selecting the options for setting up a new phone? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
