Okay, so I'm gearing up for the new MacBook Air. I have a 2009 MacBook (white unibody) now. I have some programs on it, like MS Office, 1Password, and VLC and Quicken that I want to be able to migrate to the new machine. Any suggestions on how I can do this simply?

Just use the setup (migration) assistant that comes up when you first start the new machine. That will bring in your account and all your apps and data.

MS Office will likely recognize it is on a new machine and make you reenter the registration info.

Good info at this link from Apple that will walk you through it.
