I am unable to move icons from one page to another. I can move them within the same page but when I drag them to the edge of the screen, they simply return to their original spot. What am I missing here? I have the IOS 14 update installed.
I find this a bit frustrating as well. There's a touch needed where you hang onto the icon and slide to the next screen, but it seems very sensitive whether it will work on a particular try or not.

The thing that frustrates me is that if I barely touch one of the other apps on the edge, it brings up the folder. I wish the popup menu would have move app and merge app where move would not allow you to create a folder with another app.I am unable to move icons from one page to another. What I actually did was to drag the icon with one finger and simultaneously drag the page in the opposite direction with another finger. A little tricky to say the least but it worked.
Don’t try to move the icon off the screen to force the next page.
Drag the icon to the edge of the screen and hold it there for a second, the next page then slides over. And if you keep holding the icon there, more pages will keep sliding past (assuming you have multiple screens).
Wow, so simple....I never knew about this. Thanks for the tip!Don’t try to move the icon off the screen to force the next page.
