Is it possible to move icons from the Dock into the Launchpad? If so how?

This isn't necessary. Launchpad will have all the application icons.

If you mean every shortcut icon on the dock,there are six that I put there two days ago and they are not in Launchpad.

Those Dock shortcuts are probably on the right side of the Dock (right of the divider), thus they are not applications, thus they will not show up in Launchpad, as far as I know.
Isn't activating Launchpad and then clicking on a shortcut in there more cumbersome than clicking on the same shortcut in the Dock?

Your right.It means another click. They all have Safari icons.

Traditionally people just bookmark their websites inside Safari instead of putting links on the desktop for each site they go to.
