Moving internal to ext. enclosure - bootcamp still work?

I'm upgrading my internal HDD and installing an SSD in place on the optical bay on my iMac.

My internal currently has a bootcamp partition. If I purchase an external USB enclosure for it will I still be able to boot up from Windows?

The documentation I've seen for Bootcamp says it has to be an internal disk.

Unless you find someone who has run bootcamp from a USB disk, I'd say no you can't do that.
