I'm moving my jailbroken iPhone 3G from a Windows Vista machine to a Mac. I run Windows 7 in VMWare on my MacBook Pro 10.5.8. I will have to use iTunes in Windows as I need to use Outlook for email, and I want to sync with my Outlook contacts and calendar. (For various reasons neither MacMail, Thunderbird or Entourage suit my email needs).

I don't use my iPhone for music, just apps contacts and calendar. I check my mail with it but don't sync mail--when I go to my Outlook it downloads the mail from the gmail server.

So do I move my iPhone backup from the original machine to the same directory in Windows 7? If I move the backup do I just sync and my apps, jailbroken and not and settings will be fine?
