Moving items to another HD but don't want to lose 'pathway'

Ok, maybe I can't phrase the problem correctly.

Basically I have an ext hdd which I have all my audio samples and sampler libraries on. All my software samplers and synth are all linked to that drive.

I'm expanding my sounds so I bought a larger drive. I don't want to lose where my software 'sees' the content they need to use.

So I was wondering if I simply name the new drive the same as the older one, would that take care of the issue? Thanks for any..

Yes renaming new drive to old drive name will work.

Make sure your audio apps aren't running, and eject your old drive before launching your sampling apps.
