Hi there,

I'm picking up Snow Leopard and a new iPod classic on the 19th. I have currently got Leopard 10.5.8 and a precious song collection, which i backed up onto my external hd along with my photos. I want to move it back into SL with no issues - is a simple copy-back good enough? I'm just a little worried.

Sorry, I did search for a similar topic but found nothing. Google wasn't much help either.

Cheers to any responders. ;)

Yeah, the folder I copied to the external hd was the itunes music folder with all of that in it, so I'm all good to go then i take it?

Cheers buddy.:)

yup

what i would do is drag all your music into itunes and then manually replace teh other files

made the mistake of not copying the xml and database fiels and i lost all my ratings and playlists. kinda sucked lol

Manually replace what other files, exactly?

The ones that are there in a fresh install of SL?
