Moving iTunes library from computer to NAS

I copied ALL my mp3s from my pc to my synology NAS.
All my music was in D:\Music and that is what I had itunes point to for my music library. Now, do I just change the location in itunes to point to the NAS, and I should be good to go? What about my playlists? Will I loose those?

For me to make this work on my Time Capsule (NAS) - I had to move the entire "iTunes Media" folder over - then update the preferences in iTunes to point there VS the local user location. So all of my movies, playlists, library art, etc...all of this is on the network drive.

Sounds like you are doing this on Windows, since you referenced D:\. The concept is similar though.

Note that iTunes will do all the moving for you; you don't move the MP3 files manually at all with this method. It preserves everything - playlists, play counts, ratings, etc.
