hi everyone,

I'm about to undertake the process of moving all my music from my macbook to my PC and was wondering what the best course of action is?

I've been told that I can simply use a lan cable to connect the two and then set up file sharing and transfer away but i dont want to lose any playlists / music as i am a DJ / producer and all my music is organised into playlists in reference to categories of CDs / samples etc.

any ideas?

Thanks

yes, it's simple. create a network between your pc and MB. a single network cable is all you need. create a samba share on os x in system preferences giving access to your music folder.

copy music folder to your pc. if itunes is default, they would go in the Music folder. if all files are in the right place when you start itunes on your pc, everything will be as normal. they use exactly the same structure. i have done this before.
