Okay, I know I'm missing something obvious here but.....
I am moving my library to a new computer and to an external HD on the new computer. I have copied the iTunes music folder over to the external HD and have reset the preference pathway in itunes of the new computer. All the music is there but none of it shows up on itunes on the new computer.
I am kinda clueless right now.
Oh yeah, I consolidated the library before I moved it and after I moved it.

Moderator you can close this thread out i figured out what I needed to do.
Sorry for the waste of time

If you go under the 'File' tab in itunes there is an option called 'import to library' (this is right before the 'library' option where you consolidate the library). Anyway, select this option, browse to your itunes music folder and away you go. 20 minutes and 5000 songs later my iTunes is up and running.
