I am having the HDD on my iMac replaced and because of the demand, I will not have the computer for a couple of days minimum and a maximum of 5 days. I will still have my wife's iMac and my MBP, and this is where my question will be. Since I have my iTunes library on an external HD, could I just connect that HD to my MBP and share the library that way instead of relying on my iMac?

Do you have the entire library stored on the external, or just the media files? If just the media, be sure to copy your library files from your iMac to your MBP.
Yes the entire library is on the external. So should this make it simple to just connect it to my MBP with no issues?
