I copied my iTunes folder to my new external HD to free up space on my computer. However, iTunes is still reading off the music in the trash. Is there a way to re-direct what it is looking for to the external HD without having to re-do all the filing and album switching i have already done?

Also, when I got my new Mac, for one reason or another deleted iChat, is there any way to get it back or re-install it?

Thanks, J

How did you move the library? Is iTunes set to manage all your files? If it is, then the best way to copy your library to a different location is through the Advanced pane of iTunes Preferences. Just pick a new location and iTunes will handle the rest. Remember that the two data files will have to remain in the Music folder (actually in the iTunes folder) on your Mac though.

You should be able to get iChat off your OSX discs but you might need Pacifist to find and extract it. :)
