My GF's old Toshiba laptop is on it's last legs and we've both agreed to move to a MacBook. We're a bit worried about the screen size though, because we use it as a TV for iTunes material. So I have a loaner machine to try out.

We have a season of a TV show on the old machine, and I'd like to try playing it side-by-side with the new one. Any suggestions on how to do this? I've never had to try this before.

Genius Mixes vs. Genius

On my iPhone I click the Genius icon (which is too large IMHO) and it makes a playlist. Are Genius Mixes any different?

Aren't they DRMed?

Yes, but when you first try to play them on the new computer it will ask you for your iTunes password. Enter it (or enter it in iTunes before you start playing movies) and it will authorize that computer to play that content. You can authorize up to 5 computers with one account.

You'll want to de-authorize the old computer, especially if it's dying.

Oh geez, it is that easy?! Sheesh, I'm glad I'm doing Teh Switch.
