Moving Large amounts of pics from web to Iphoto

Hi there, hoping someone can help me. I just purchased an imac - never used one before and i really like it, but am having trouble transferring some files - pictures to be exact.

how can i move large amounts of pictures form MyPicasa web albums to iphoto?? I am able to move 1 x 1, but this is too slow. Anyone know how?
