I recently formatted to Vista, but forget to make a library backup, so I'm stuck with my music collection on the iPod and a squeeky iTunes. Now I need to make iTunes understand that I have a library already that it mustn't override.

I'm sure you've heard the question millions of times before - couldn't find any topic on it on the first page, though - but I'd still appreciate a solution to the issue. :)

Is there any way I can refer to an iTunes library/music folder, without iTunes copying the entire content to its own folder?

I keep my music on an external HDD, so it's redundant to have it two places.
