Hi, total newbie on a Mac. It arrives on Saturday.

I've got 3 drives.
1) 500GB SATA bought last month. Seagate (Filled with photos) throughput I get is Max 95mb/s - esata enclosure available - windows
2) 320GB PATA USB enclosure available (filled with photos) - windows
3) 1TB Samsung Spinpoint, NEW

What's the best way in migrating. 1&2 are NTFS
Mac Pro Dual Quad 2.8 comes with 320GB - do you think I need to switch it out with 1) or 3) or there will be no speed difference. I'm also planning on installing Vista 64

Can I just insert the SATA 1) drive in a Mac pro.

Things I've read so far.
1) NTFS will be read only on a Mac
2) PATA will not work with Mac Pro

anyone? perhaps at mac pro section might be of help. How do I transfer this thread?
