Hello all. I'm new to Mac (two days) and would like help on moving mybook harddrive icon from the desktop to the dock. I've tried right click, preferences, but don't see preferences. I also searched the forum and found nothing. Thank you.

The icon on your desktop is simply a "link" to it's location on the computer. If you want to get rid of it off off your desktop, Finder>Preferences>Sidebar>uncheck.
If you want to have that "link" on your dock, simply drag it from you desktop to the right hand side of your dock.
