Moving Old HD > New Macbook

Hey guys so I took the old Hard Drive out of my broken macbook and put it into a Rocketfish USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk Enclosure. I want to transfer EVERYTHING from the old HD to my new computer. I need instructions on how to do this. Also the old HD was running Snow Leopard, while the new HD is running Lion (does this make a difference/problem?) Keep in mind the HD in the enclosure is the old Macintosh HD, not a Time Machine Backup.
